Great food and service. About a 25minute wait for food but well work it. Recommend their - Yuzu juice: sweet and refreshing - Twice cooked chicken fillet don: individual grained rice, chicken is charred and flavourful. Juicy inside. - Twice cooked pork belly bun: the most crisp yet soft bun, pork belly was a bit dry but filling and sauce was perfect.

If you’re in the area, this pork belly bun roll is a must-try. The bun is so crisp, and the slow-cooked pork belly just melts in your mouth, with a rich flavor. This is a 10/10 for this exceptional pork belly It is available in don as well. Aug 2025: I have returned for a few times since and opted to try the twice cooked chicken fillet roll, it is an umami treat too! Messy eat is a good sign that food is good

Delicious is all I have to say. Beef is cooked over an open flame and is left tender and juicy. Finished with kimchi for some spice and freshness. All enclosed in a fresh soft but crunchy tiger bun.

Good food and service. Probs the most enticing option here as a food kiosk for an Asian gal with a big appetite. Don meals you can’t go wrong. Pretty stock standard for what you get though, some rice slapped with the protein on the side. Was okay, not amazing but kinda what you expect for a market set up.

Wasshoi Bar and Grill at Prahran Market is a great spot for Sunday brunch. We had the chicken fillet roll and beef tsukune don—both full of bold, smoky BBQ flavour. The miso soup was rich and comforting (we got two!), and the Yuzu shandy was super refreshing. Plenty more on the menu to try next time. All up, $54—great value for tasty Japanese street food. Highly recommend!

Both the pork belly bun and beef burger were exceptional! I didn’t expect kimchi in the bun, but it was a nice surprise—it balanced out the richness of the meat perfectly. Personally, I preferred the pork belly bun since the meat just melted in my mouth. The staff, all Japanese, were super welcoming and added to the great dining experience. Would definitely come back!

We visited again Wasshoi Bar and Grill for the third time, and the experience was (again) truly impeccable. It was 11 pm, the shop had just opened but people had already been queing to order their food. The staff were attentive and friendly, we were provided with a great view of the staffs preparing the dish. (I could sit there for hours and not get bored). The price is reasonable for the experience we get. The twice cooked Chicken Fillet was my daughter's favourite. The bun was perfectly crisp accompanied by the tender and juicy chicken. The sauce was a little too sweet to my liking however i would still give 5/5 stars!! :)

Surprisingly good food with beer on tap. Dons were flavourful and grilled well. The only cons is they use takeaway bowls and cutlery even though you dine-in.
